After a Wellness Consultation: Your 14-Day Plan
By Novum Performance & Longevity Wellness Center | October 13, 2026
Your #1 rule after your wellness consultation is simple: don’t try to “fix everything” in the first two days. Our Wellness Transformation Consultation in Ellicott City is built on real data, including the Toxic Biomarker Assessment plus HRV autonomic nervous system markers and cardiac vessel state markers. Give your body and your schedule 48 hours to organize the plan, line up any labs, and start with the basics that actually stick.
Quick start for the first 48 hours: Review your personalized plan, schedule any recommended labs or follow-ups, start gentle movement and hydration, and track food, sleep, and symptoms. Hold off on new prescriptions, extreme cleanses, and intense workouts unless we’ve cleared it with you.
We built this 14-day plan for busy professionals and parents who want something you can actually follow between work, school runs, and weekend errands. If you’re coming in from Columbia, Ilchester, Catonsville, West Friendship, or Woodstock, we’ll help you line up lab timing and check-ins so you’re not bouncing between a dozen to-do lists.

First 24 to 48 hours: lock in the plan before you add more
Your consultation is 150 minutes for a reason. We cover a lot, and it’s normal to leave feeling motivated and ready to do all the things. The fastest way to stall out is to change ten variables at once and then not know what helped.
Do these four things first
- Read your plan once, then highlight only the first steps. We generally want you starting with the simplest actions that support energy, mood, sleep patterns, and functional performance.
- Schedule labs and follow-ups right away. If blood typing was added because you didn’t know your blood type, get that on the calendar too. Getting dates set keeps your momentum.
- Hydrate consistently and keep movement gentle. A walk, easy mobility work, or light cycling is usually plenty. In Mid-Atlantic summers, humidity sneaks up on you. Drink more than you think you need, especially if you’re outside.
- Start a quick daily log. Two minutes is enough. Track what you ate, sleep time and quality, energy, mood, bowel movements, and any new symptoms.
Hold off for now: starting new prescription medications, doing an intense cleanse or fasting protocol, jumping into extreme exercise, or making a major diet overhaul without clearance. It’s not about being strict. It’s about keeping your results clear and measurable.
If you’re in the Dorsey’s Search and Dorsey Hall area, we’re close to Dorsey’s Search Village Center. Many people prefer an in-office follow-up because it’s easy to stop in, park for free, and keep the conversation focused. We’re appointment only, so your time is protected.
Days 3 to 7: follow the boring basics, skip the “extremes”
This is the week when people tend to overcorrect. You might feel a lift in energy or mood and want to stack more supplements or bigger workouts. Or you might feel a little “off” as your routine changes and decide nothing is working. Both are common. The goal for week one is consistency, not intensity.
Keep doing
- Daily tracking. This is how we adjust dosing, timing, and habits without guessing.
- Gentle movement. If fall or winter weather hits, short indoor walks and light strength sessions tend to be easier to keep consistent than an all-or-nothing outdoor plan.
- Any scheduled therapies we mapped out. People often tell us they feel “refreshed and energized” after sessions like red light and nervous system reset work. That’s a good sign you’re supporting recovery instead of draining it.
Avoid these common detours
- Adding multiple new supplements at once “just in case.” Start with the plan. If something’s unclear, ask us.
- A brand-new high-intensity routine. Your nervous system markers matter. We want workouts that support sleep, not sabotage it.
- Skipping food all day then eating a huge meal late. That pattern tends to show up quickly in sleep and energy logs.
Your simple 14-day tracker (this is what makes the plan work)
We’re big on testing and markers, but we also care about real life. A short daily log helps us connect the dots between your assessment results and how you actually feel at work, at home, and on weekends.
Track daily (2 minutes): meals and snacks, water, caffeine and alcohol, sleep time and quality, mood, energy, bowel movements, and any symptoms that pop up after supplements or routine changes.
Add notes when it matters: training days, high-stress days, travel, poor sleep nights, or anything out of your normal routine. Those details explain “weird weeks.”
At the end of week two, we use your notes to adjust. This is where people often see momentum. One of our regulars put it perfectly when describing the vibe at Novum: you’ll feel like you have a real plan, not random advice.
Supplements, restorative therapies, and timing: keep it clean and consistent
Your Wellness Transformation Consultation includes options for non-invasive restorative therapies to support energy levels, cognition, mood, sleep patterns, and functional performance. If we recommended a sequence, stick to it for at least two weeks before you start swapping things around.
A few practical rules that prevent most “no result” weeks
- Start supplements earlier in the day when possible. If sleep is one of your goals, late-day additions can confuse the picture.
- Add one new item at a time. Give it a few days so your log shows what changed.
- Bring the bottle in if you’re unsure. If you grabbed something off your shelf at home, we’ll help you decide if it fits your plan or if it’s working against it.
Scheduling tip: If you commute via Route 29 or Route 108, ask us about evening slots and virtual check-ins. We’ll help you keep follow-ups realistic, especially when lab timing matters.
We accept card payments and digital wallets. If you’re using buy now pay later, let us know up front and we’ll walk through the options so nothing’s stressful at checkout.
When to reach out to our Ellicott City team (and what’s worth a quick message)
We take follow-through seriously. People come to us because they want clarity, and they stay because we keep adjusting until the plan matches their real life. If something feels off after you start supplements or make changes, don’t sit on it.
Reach out right away if you have: fever, severe GI symptoms, signs of a new allergy, unexpected dizziness, or symptoms that get worse after starting supplements.
For most people, the next step is simple: confirm lab dates, then schedule a two-week check-in so we can tighten up dosing, timing, and habits. After that, follow-ups are often monthly or as we recommend based on your goals and markers.
