How Microneedling Rejuvenation Works
Microneedling uses a controlled pattern of very small, superficial channels to encourage the skin’s natural renewal processes. At Novum we offer microneedling as an add-on to PRX or PRX-Plus to complement chemical resurfacing; the two are used together to address texture and glow without promising specific outcomes.
Your appointment includes a topical anesthetic and a required 40min wait before treatment begins. The entire service time is 75 MINUTES; during that slot we apply anesthetic, wait, perform microneedling after the PRX step when scheduled, and review aftercare. Please plan accordingly for parking and arrival in Dorsey's Search or nearby Ellicott City areas.
What to Expect During Treatment
When microneedling follows PRX or PRX-Plus the provider will layer the procedures to complement one another. Expect a measured clinical environment: topical anesthetic is applied, you wait the required 40min, and then microneedling is performed. Staff will monitor comfort and adapt within the appointment's scope.
Immediately after treatment your provider will outline aftercare that minimizes sun exposure and supports healing. Because Howard County has a humid four-season climate and bright summers, many clients schedule microneedling in fall and winter months. Novum will recommend timing and any follow-up visits based on how the combined session progressed.
Factors Shaping Your Results
Results depend on baseline skin condition, the decision to combine microneedling with PRX or PRX-Plus, and adherence to aftercare instructions. Novum cannot guarantee specific results, but the clinical choices about sequencing and product pairing are what guide expected improvements and subsequent planning.
Scheduling is convenient from Route 29, Route 108, and nearby I-70 for commuters from Columbia and surrounding towns. Because Oct, Nov, Jan and Feb are our busiest months, booking ahead during fall and winter is wise. The center's location near Dorsey's Search Village Center and Centennial Park makes it easy to combine appointments with errands.
